Hello
Allow me to introduce myself!
Firstly, I really really love my job. In America, we are known by “what we do” and I find that a great privilege in my case. I get to be in the mundane, the magical, and the vulnerable moments of people’s lives. I take my role as therapist very seriously.
I received my training at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas where I accomplished a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I worked at the Texas Wesleyan Community Counseling Center for several semesters as I acquired my training hours. I was able to see a wide array of individuals with many challenges and concerns; each from a different background and economic standing. This is where I fell in love with couples work!

My undergraduate studies were in Psychology from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas (yes, with the prison).

Since graduating and receiving my License, I have worked in a large group practice in the Fort Worth area serving mostly couples and families, and at a local nonprofit helping disabled individuals in the community.
My Story
I came to the therapeutic field not knowing what to expect. I definitely did not think I wanted to work with couples! I saw myself as a one-on-one type of therapist. I wanted to be able to help others with their mental health in a non-medication-driven way and for them to overcome some of their challenges with my help.

When I suffered heinously with my own bought of depression and anxiety after my daughter was born, my understanding of mental health and how it affects every part of life changed drastically. My studies of mental health gave me a more complex understanding of how several factors can affect someone’s mental wellbeing. But nothing was a better teacher than going through the struggles myself. The challenges of finding a therapist that would work with my schedule, budget, and personal values became overwhelming. In desperation, I asked for medication in IV form not knowing that the relief would not come for 4 to 6 weeks with typical pharmaceuticals. Although that was a terribly dark time in my life, I find that it makes me a more well-rounded, holistic, understanding, and intentional therapist.

In my free time away from the counseling room, I expressing my creativity through painting and being crafty around the house. I am a proud mom of humans, plants, and cats (feel free to ask for pictures of the latter). If you were to compliment something I am wearing, it will probably be thrifted. As a neurodivergent extrovert, I thoroughly enjoying getting to know people deeply and exploring new and exciting experiences!
Contact
The best way to reach me is via email or text as I may be in session. I look forward to hearing from you!
